1. Regular Cleaning

It is incredibly important to maintain a clean living environment. Try dedicating the same time slot every week to tidying up around your living area as it can do wonders for your mental health and productivity, and gives you something to fill up those lazy Sunday afternoons.

2. Stick To Your Routine, Or Form One

Being completely responsible for your living area comes with many responsibilities, to help keep track of them all and make sure everything gets done, it helps to create, and stick to, a routine.

3. Go To Class

Without the authority of parental guidance around, the temptation to stay in and skip class will be at an all time high. Going to class is extremely important for understanding material, even if it is recorded and posted online. It is imperative to attend as many classes as possible and make skipping a rarity, as skipping one day can lead to skipping many more.

4. Grocery Shop For One

It is very easy to accidentally buy far too much food for one person to eat, especially if you shop while hungry. It important to remember that food spoils rather quickly and that there is only one of you to eat it all, and as an added bonus it will save you tons of money in the long run!

5. Socialize

With all of the new responsibilities included in living alone it is easy to neglect your social life. Be sure to sign up for clubs and interest groups to meet new people and not burn out on being an adult.

6. Decorate!

It is most likely the first time in your life that you have your own space, so make it yours! It is important to be as comfortable as possible in the place you will be spending the vast majority of your time.

7. Have Fun

Perhaps the most important bit of advice of all, is to have fun. Adulthood has officially started, it isn't as intimidating as it may seem, so enjoy your first true independence!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo
