7 Times Daria Morgendorffer Was My Spirit Animal

I'm sure some of you remember the cult-classic TV show Daria. The title character was a smart, cynical and brutally honest female. She was definitely ahead of her time. The show, which was a spinoff of Beavis and Butt-head, ran from 1997 to 2002. Daria made a great impression on me, and her dark, dry, and cynical humor gets me every time. Here are seven timesshe was my spirit animal.

1. When she was on point about life decisions every young adult has to make.

2. When she refused to be fake.

3.The moment when she regrets going out.

4. When she understood that teenagers/young adults can have just as much stress as adults.

5.When she knew that food can make things better. Especially pizza.

6. When she knew how great friendships were formed.

7. When she realized that maybe you aren't the problem — maybe it's everyone else.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
