Everyone struggles with their college classes and finding time to study while balancing a social life. Some courses you take are harder than others and some seem like they are impossible to accomplish. While all of this may be true there are several thoughts that everyone taking organic chemistry has.
1. Am I the only one who doesn't understand this?
Sometimes you feel like you are alone and the only one who does not understand a topic. Then you look around the room and realize everyone looks just as stressed and confused as you do. That makes you feel a little bit better about yourself.
2. Everyone is raising their hand for that answer, I should probably join them and hope I don't have to explain why I raised my hand.
When you have no idea what is even going on so you just raise your hand with the majority of the class and hope that your professor does not ask you to explain your answer to the class.
3. Wait, what?
Everything that you are listening to sounds like it is all in a completely different language. Even when you go back to look at your notes to study it seems to all be in a different language that no one can decipher.
4. OK, I cant be the only one who isn't getting this.
Looking around the room you cant help but think that maybe everyone else gets it and you are the only one who does not understand. But then you also think that no one can understand this jibberish and your whole class is full of people who are very good actors.
5. @#*&%$!
No explanation needed.
6. Hey, wait. That actually makes sense. Am I doing something wrong?
When you finally understand a topic or if you are confident with the material then you cant help but think to yourself that something must be wrong and you must be doing all of the work wrong.
