7 Thoughts You Have When Your Big Gets Engaged

When your big gets engaged, your mind starts racing with all the wonderful, exciting thoughts that come along with wedding planning and engagements. There's so much to be excited about that it's hard to focus long enough to even congratulate her and her soon to be hubby. Of all the things that that you are trying to process, here are some of the most recurring thoughts:

1. We're Engaged

No, really. When he asked her he asked me as well whether he knows it or not. So... thanks. I'm super excited for our wedding, which brings me to my next point...

2. Wedding Dress Shopping

All those years of watching "Say Yes to the Dress" and "Four Weddings" will finally pay off.

3. Wedding Cake

Chocolate, Vanilla, Red Velvet... the options are endless and I know my Big will only have the best and I already can't wait for dessert time.

4. Bachelorette Party

Though I will gladly be serving as the DD for this event, I can't wait to watch your crazy-self tell the world you're about to get married while sporting annoying bridal paraphernalia like a sash and a tiara. You're nuts and I love you for it.

5. I Can Finally Use All Those Pinterest Boards I'll Never Need For A Wedding Of My Own

I've been saving up for years on Pinterest for this moment. I already have the color scheme, location, reception, bridesmaids dresses, date, food, and flowers picked out. You're welcome.

6. That Wedding Playlist

You know that list for the DJ is gonna be the best you've ever seen. I'm talking Beyonce, Lip Gloss by Lil Mama, and the Despicable Me theme song good.

7. You're Growing Up, And I'm So Glad I'm Along For The Ride

I'm so thankful that I met you a few years ago and I'm so happy for you to start this next exciting chapter of your life. Love you Big.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
