The Truth About Blizzards In Maine

I live in the northern half of the world where it snows. a lot. We recently just got hit with a giant snow storm, and it's the worst. I really don't like snow all that much, which is a bit confusing considering how I grew up in northern Maine, but I just hate being cold! Sohere are my thoughts on this snow storm.

1. It's cold

And I know you're like duh, of course its cold. But I mean, so cold it hurts your face to go outside. Like, it's rough.

2. You never want to leave your bed.

Because your bed is warm and cozy, and the outside world is just white and too much.

3. You feel like a marshmallow whenever you go out.

Because you have to wear so many layers and every time you move you make that swish sound. It's kind of fun, but it doesn't last long.

4.  Whenever people say they like the snow you instantly get personally offended.

Because snow is just the worst, and the thought that people actually love it and wait for it all year just doesn't make sense to me.

5. When people ask you how you're doing.

You finally muster up the courage to go outside, mostly because you're hungry and the only way to eat is if you leave your room and the first thing people ask is how you're doing with the snow. And it's the worst.

6. It's so bright outside.

You get outside and it's honestly so bright that you can't see anything. Instant blindness.

7. When someone says another storm is coming.

You did it, you made it through the snowapocolipse day one and then it happens. Someone announces that another storm day is coming and you just dont know how you will make it another day.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
