1. Tells you to calm down/chill out

Clearly he doesn't want you to actually calm down or he would've picked better word choices. Anyone who has ever been told this knows it only makes you angrier and life would be so much better if our boyfriends didn't say this when we are angry.

2. Asks you to come over then plays video games

No, I didn't come over to watch you play Call of Duty call of duty. I came over for some quality time and attention and if you continue to play I'm gonna leave. Only a few things drive me more crazy than this.

3. Puts on his gaming mic but says "we can still talk while I play"

Again, no we can't I am now officially sitting on your couch while you zone me out and talk to your friends who don't even know I'm here! I'd rather be at home watching TV.

4. Take forever to reply

If you're busy that's perfectly fine, just let me know, but please do not ignore me for hours on end and leave me hanging.

5. Not side with her on an argument

You don't have to agree with everything I say but there are certain topics that you better be agreeing with me on. As the boyfriend you should support your girlfriend and this plays a major factor in that.

6. Make fun of things you like

You don't HAVE to think that pandora ring is cute but you also don't have to make fun of me for obsessing over it. After all, almost every girl dreams of getting one. Not to mention any other romantic gestures you've always found adorable. Be courteous when making jokes boys.

7. Think it's okay to quit having date nights because you've been together so long

I still want date nights and they don't need to cost more than a dollar. Renting a movie for us to watch and spending some alone time without you playing video games or being on your phone is all we really want.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
