Ada, Ohio, is a really small town, and just like any small town, it has its quirks. As many residents of Ada will tell you, there are some things you don't know unless you live here.
1. Padrone's Delivery takes forever, but you still order it anyway.
Who knows why it takes forever, but it's good, and at least for me, some of my friends work there, so they get my business.
2. We may be a small town, but we have three bars.
When your friends say they're at the bar, who knows where they actually are... Little Mex, Regal Beagle, or the Cask Room?
3. Trains
The trains can be heard across town, and if you were hoping to get through quickly, better give up, because the trains will get you.
4. Ada Goggles
Ada goggles are a lot like beer goggles, but mostly with the college students. ONU doesn't really provide a lot of single, attractive people, so I've been told (I'm taken, so I don't really pay attention to attractiveness). So, Ada goggles are the idea that because of the low selection, students "take what they can get" and see what might not be attractive as attractive.
5. Jalapenos is good, but the smell that stays on you afterwards...
Jalapenos is a great Chipotle-esque resturant downtown, but for some reason you get a strange smell when you leave. It's worth it, but people who know the smell will know where you came from.
6. Corn
If you're from the city, get ready for a culture shock, because Ada is surrounded by corn.
7. Literally every NFL football is made here, though a lot of people don't realize that because we're such a small town.
We are very important to football in America, and yet no one really knows much about Ada, Ohio.
So, Ada may just be your typical small town, but we have our quirks. We should be famous, have a small private school, but yet are just a small town in northern Ohio.
