6 Things You Want To Tell Every Freshman Girl

No one remembers the nights you got plenty of sleep, but they do remember how you acted at your first college party.

So, you're finally not the freshman girl at the party anymore. You made it. You and your friends decide to go to the first party of the year and you already know going into it that you're going to have the time of your life. So, you get to the party and the first thing you see is this random girl you've never seen before dancing in the middle of the room in front of everyone. You can't help but get super uncomfortable about this girl and you want to go grab her and help her, but then again, who the hell helped you? As you and your friends are sitting on the couch watching all of these young girls soaking up every second of being the new girls, y'all can't help but think these things you wish you could tell them:

1. It's ok to sit down.

Relax, even if you feel out of place, it's okay to just chill. Trust me, the turn up is real all the time, but sometimes chillin' out can be just as fun.

2. Stop yelling.

Whatever you are choosing to scream to your roomie who came with you is probably irrelevant to 98% of the people who can hear you.

3. Fashionably late is a thing.

Before 10pm, wherever you are planning on going is just a pregame at that point. Take your time, I promise they'll be doing the exact same thing when you get there.

4. He really, reallllly does love your outfit.

Remember in Mean Girls when Regina George dressed like a bunny for Halloween? That's okay... because it was halloween. Stay classy, San Diego.

6. Snapchat isn't life.

No one cares about your uber ride, your DD being pissed because you're drunk, or the Cookout you're sitting in line for. Leave a little to the imagination.

7. Moderation is Key

Funneling five beers back to back really does seem cool and fun, but in 15 minutes when you're really feeling that 5th beer way more than you expected, unfortunately you're passing out at the party way sooner than expected.

These tips can be taken with a grain of salt, because really who am I to tell anyone how to act??? Be yourself and don't be afraid to show the world who you really are. Unless that is extremely crazy then mask that with alcohol. Only sort of joking.

"Out with the old, in with then new, cheers to the future, and all that we do."

You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
