7 Things You Want To Say To Roommates, As Told By Gordon Ramsey

Sometimes, we all just have to embrace our inner Gordon Ramsey when it comes to dealing with our roommates.

1. "I'm done with excuses."

There's only so many times one can ask their roommate to do something without sounding like a nagging mother. Whether it's taking out the awfully smelly trash or it's as simple as asking your roommate to lock the door so no one steals all your shit, asking the same damn questions over again can be painfully annoying. After a series of stupid excuses, the temptation to dump the trash in your roommate's room becomes very real.

2. "I can't sink any further."

There are days in college when the shit just hits the fan. You get back an exam grade and it is not a high number, your favorite sweater has a nice hole in the sleeve, you can't remember the Netflix password, and everything keeps going wrong. Then you arrive back to your apartment and your roommate has the audacity to complain about her "B" on her anthropology quiz. At this point, all you want to do is scream " I can't sink any further" in a Meredith Grey type of way.

3. " What are you?"

We have all seen our roommates do some seriously strange shit. We have had those moments when we walk into our rooms and witness a very drunk roommate wearing a dinosaur costume and singing the ABC's in Spanish. In these hilarious yet questionable moments, you really wonder who your roommate is and if they were raised by wolves.

4. "Why?"

Sometimes our roommates share some unnecessary and unwanted information with us. When your roommate comes out of the bathroom and says " something questionable just happened," you want to just yell " Why do you tell me these things." Sometimes, things are just not meant to be shared with anyone.

5. " This beer taste like piss."

Us college kids are used to spending our Friday nights in dank basement parties filled with intoxicated frat boys and girls not wearing enough clothing. Each party is different but they all have one thing in common, the fact that the beer taste like cheap piss. But it's free, so we are all pretty ok with it.

6. "You dick!"

We have all had times where we haven't been exactly getting along with our roommates. Taking your personal crap out on other people happens no matter how hard we try to avoid it. It is particularly bad when you are living with a person who is taking their shit out on you. The only thing you can do sometimes calls them out on it.

7. " Here we go again."

We have all have had our roommates gush about that cute boy from Biology. Then the next day heard about our roommates describe "cute elevator guy" and that "super ripped boy from the gym." Don't get me wrong, who doesn't love to talk about boys but sometimes it just seems like a neverending rollercoaster of fangirling over anyone that shows them just a little bit of attention.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
