When you first fall for someone it's slow then all at once. Falling for someone takes time. Here are things you should know before you fall for a health major:
1. You will become their pretend patient
Health majors learn practical skills that they need to practice on real people. Whether it is blood pressure, palpations, range of motion, full body assessment, or many other things. But I promise they won't hurt you and you might even learn something.
2. Be prepared to learn more about your body then you want to know
Being a health major you have to take biology and anatomy classes. In order to pass these classes, you have to know a lot about the body and how it works.
3. They might be very open about bodily functions
Enough said.
4. They might try and guess what you have when you're sick or sore
When you're sick they are the ones to guess what you have. They can tell you whether you need to go to the doctors or not and they might be able to tell you how serious it could be.
5. They have much more class time than other majors
You know that one credit class? Yeah, that's still a two-hour class. They only have one class that day? Well, that one class could last multiple hours.
6. They have to study a bit more than others
Health majors study a lot because they have to. Many times health major have to apply to get into their major and they have to have a specific GPA in order to do that. They also have to have their GPA up because they might have to apply to grad school later on. Not only both of these but health material can be hard and confusing.
7. They are 10x busier
Not only do health majors have classes, they have hours on hours of studying and hours of clinical's or field work. They are also expected to be involved on campus, work, volunteer, and still have a social life. This leaves a lot less free time.
Falling for a health major is different than falling for other majors. It isn't bad to fall for a health major, it is just a lot different and it is something you may have to adjust to.
