7 Things You Learn In College, But Outside Of The Classroom

There’s more to college than late nights, bar hopping, and even academics. College is a time for self-discovery. Here are some things you learn outside of the classroom.

The way college is portrayed on television is unrealistic.

College is NOT an everlasting celebration, the stress is real but worth it!

Relationships and friendships aren’t forever.

People grow apart and that’s okay.

Perseverance.

The end goal here is to graduate and there’s a lot of hard work along the way. Don’t. Give. Up.

You discover the things you’re truly passionate about.

College gives you the chance to see things that you would have never seen in your hometown. It opens doors to opportunities for you to learn and you are able to truly find who you want to be and what you love to do.

To live outside of your comfort zone.

So many things will make you uncomfortable in college, but these things will only make you a more well-rounded individual.

Taking time to rest

This is crucial to your success in your college as well as your personal life.

I will admit, college is scary and very overwhelming. You'll walk in to classes where you truly are just a number, but what you learn outside of any class you take will truly be what you use for the rest of your life.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
