Commitment. A three syllable word that holds quite a bit of meaning, and gives a lot of people night sweats. Giving some of your personal freedoms up to a significant other can be terrifying and can also trigger acute vomiting and nausea. So, those with these fears precipitating from the word commitment, will avoid any interaction with those that they may or may not be attracted to. This article is for all of you folk:


1. When someone shows you signs of affection.


2. After someone admits they have feelings for you.


3. When they refer to you as their "boyfriend" or "girlfriend."


4. When they attempt to "define the relationship."


4. Your reaction when the "L" word slips out of their mouth.


5. When you actually like them but the thought of committing makes you feel like you're on fire.


6. When the cringe-worthy words of "I want to be with you" replay in your head over and over again.


7. When for a fraction of a second thinking about being with them doesn't make your stomach hurt.

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
