2020 has been nothing any of us could have imagined, but that doesn't mean it has to ruin what you want to do this autumn. Just like for the spring and summer, there will have to be some changes in what we can do this fall - but that doesn't mean they can't be fun.

There are so many places around that have the most beautiful fall leaves. Roadtrip somewhere you've never been before and watch as the leaves change the more you drive and the sun hits them differently with each turn you take.

Create DIY fall decorations with your roomies.

Not artsy? Totally fine. Draw your best hand turkey and frame them (see if your friends who don't live there judge your work or silently hide their embarrassment for you and your roommates). Or, be extravagant and collect supplies to make your own fall wreath for your front door!

Have a Halloween movie night with you and your friends.

Your Complete 'Halloweentown' Guide To Halloween

A simple relaxed night to stay in with your friends and watch all of your childhood favorites, or daunting horror movies (if you're into that).

Enjoy homemade fall drinks and snacks.

Host a fall party and make your own fall punch or spiked cider along with Halloween trail mix or pies and bread (yum!).

Build a bonfire.

Gather up your friends, put on your favorite flannel and timberlands, and get cozy with your friends! You can go old school too and share scary stories around the fire.

Host a Halloween costume contest.

Not just who is the best, but whose is the funniest or most creative? People might have less ambition to really try with their costumes this year, so host something that will make them want to dress up!

Have a fall cook test.

Let's get Gordan Ramsay up in here! Collect recipes with your friends that you all want to try and dedicate a day with them to cook your way through them and find out whose was the best.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
