I hate that I love it.

7 Things That You Say While Watching "The Bachelor"

Some of my floormates and I have started making watching "The Bachelor" while eating food stolen from the dining hall a weekly tradition. And yes, it's a trash show that is degrading for everyone involved, but also it's super entertaining, and these people volunteered for it. Here are some things you may find yourself saying if you watch this show.

1. "Why am I watching this?"

It's not uncommon to question your morals while watching 15 girls viciously fight over a guy who's not necessarily A+ quality. I am sometimes worried about why I am so entertained by something like this.

2. "Nick's hot."

Even though the guy gives off a douchebag vibe, you can't deny that he glo'd up from the first time he was on the Bachelorette.

3. "She needs to go HOME!"

This mostly refers to Corinne, since she's insane.

4. When there's a fight happening:

5. "Nick's such a slut."

When Nick makes out with literally everyone all the time.

6. "You frickin' go, girl!"

When someone finally straight-up calls Nick out on his bullshit (mostly about Corinne), and even though he never listens, it's nice that someone is voicing our concerns.

7. "We have to wait a whole week to watch the next episode?!"

It's terrible that I'm excited to watch this crap every week but what can I say, I'm weak and it's entertaining!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
