Some things in life are just kind of...weird. Maybe it's just me, or maybe you feel the same way. Or maybe you're one of those wild Facebook users that will read through this entire article, taking it way too seriously, and commenting on why each point I make is totally wrong. With that being said, here are 7 things that don't really make sense to me.

1) The people on Facebook that I mentioned above.

I get, you have opinions. We all do! I have such a hard time understanding this very specific Facebook user because of the amount of time their "job" must take. I've seen grown men and women post comments (typically on political posts) that are longer than some of the essays I've written for class. I get it, the world (or your 37 Facebook friends) needs to know how you feel! But when these posts turn offensive, which they so often do, maybe it's just time to log off?

2) People who get angry over LGBTQ marriages.

How does someone else's marriage affect you at all? I don't get it! No one is asking a straight person to get married to someone of the same sex. I'm sure if you're anti-gay marriage you aren't being invited to any of the weddings, so how does it affect you? Let people love whoever they want to love, I promise you have bigger fish to fry!

3) School Shootings

Not a lot to say here. If you think murdering innocent people makes sense then I'd encourage you to stop reading and get help.

4) People at the gym who come in large groups and each take turns doing reps on one machine so no one else can have a turn.

Just a personal gripe with gym culture.

5) Men who cat call women.

What is the end game here? You're going to whistle at a woman on the street and she's going to rip her clothes off? Can't comprehend it.

6) People who make fun of annoying teens when they were an annoying teen like a year ago.

I promise if I comb through your tweets I will find something just as cringe inducing as the ninth grader letting the world know that he thinks Lil Pump is the greatest musician of all time.

7) Racism/Sexism/Homophobia/ any other pointless hatred.

Just leave people alone!! Stop being an asshole and let people live their lives in peace. If you are any of the terms listed above I strongly suggest you get educated and be quiet.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
