7 Things To Thank Your Older Sister For

Sorority women know sisters are important and there is nothing quite like the bonds of sisterhood. So if you were lucky enough to be born into this world with an older sister, you know you have something really special. You may fight and know how to torment each other sometimes, or even be in different sororities, but at the end of the day, having her by your side has made you a better person and a better sorority sister. Here are some things to thank your older sister for:

1. She did the puberty thing first.

She passed down her acne wash, training bras, and calmed you down when you first got your period. She taught you how to not be awkward when flirting with your first crush... or at least she tried.

2. She has an extreme hatred for anyone who dares mess with you.

Does the phrase, "I'm the only one who gets to pick on my sister!" sound familiar?

3. For driving you everywhere.

Although you were slightly terrified to get in the car when she first got her license, you always had someone cool and older to ride with and it was a much better alternative than getting dropped off by your parents.

4. She'll always be honest with you.

Even if you don't like what she has to say, she'll say it, because she knows you're stuck with her (even if she's a little bossy about it). She won't be afraid to creep on your new boyfriend and tell you he's lame or that your orange shorts don't match your pink shirt. She's looking out for your best interest and has definitely helped you dodge a few bullets.

5. You learned from her mistakes.

She told you which classes to avoid, to stay away from boys who spike their hair, and that sneaking out your window will get you grounded. Try sneaking out the back door instead.

6. She'll never judge you.

Because let's be real, she probably did all the same stuff a few years earlier. She understands where you're coming from and can give you tried and true advice. She's got your back. You two can be as different as night and day, but she'll love and accept you all the same.

7. For showing you how to be the best big ever.

You love and care for your little how your older sister cares for you. You did have a pretty good role model after all.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
