1. You do not have to be in a romantic relationship to enjoy your high school years.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Sure relationships are great, but your high school experience should not be revolved around being in a relationship! There is so much more to focus on rather than chasing some guy or girl!

2. While education is very important, your GPA, classes, or college choice does not define you!

Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

This is definitely my downfall! I constantly stress and think about whether or not I have the grades, classes, or requirements I need in order to go to my dream college. Instead of worrying about this, just know that God has your future planned out perfectly. Don't worry, God's got you!

3. It's okay to not fit in. It's okay if you are not like everyone else. Don't pressure yourself to fit in to certain groups or be included with certain people.

Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing, and perfect will."

There is no need to change who you are in order to fit in. God made you exactly how He wanted you, "flaws" and all!

4. You are beautiful in a unique way even if no one has ever told you that.

Psalm 139:14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that fully well."

Pretty girls are a dime a dozen. Outer beauty attracts attention, but inner beauty is what holds it. Don't stress about how you look or whether you are wearing the hottest clothes. You are beautiful because God made you in His image!

5. Don't beat yourself up over what is in the past. God has forgiven you of all sins.

Galations 5:1 "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free stand firm, then, and do not let yourself be burdened again by a yolk of slavery."

Don't hold on to little grudges. Most of them are silly anyways!

6. Surround yourself with wise people!

Proverbs 19:20 "Listen to advise and accept discipline and at the end you will be counted among the wise."

God has placed people in your life for a reason! These people should believe what you believe. They should be good influences. Don't feel alone because there are a million other people who are going through the exact same thing as you! Also you have God with you all the time! Never doubt His plan!

7. You are not after people's approval, you're after God's approval.

Galatians 1:10 "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."

It doesn't matter what people think of you, the only thing that matters is what God thinks of you. You do not have to look for approval in people at your school or even your friends! God is the ultimate judge, do what you think would be pleasing in His eyes.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
