1. Loungewear.

As college students we have to study. And most of our studying is done for long periods of time. Comfort is key. Plus, wearing sweatpants to class is no longer frowned upon.

2. Snacks, Snacks, and More Snacks.

Seriously can't emphasize this one enough. We LOVE to snack. This also goes back to the long hours of studying, it usually involves snacking.

3. Gas and Grocery Cards.

Let's be honest, we don't make that much if anything at all. These would help us more than you know. and if you don't send us snacks then we can at least go get our own!

4. Restaurant Gift Cards.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE gets tired of eating in our dining facilities on campus. We love to go out, but we don't necessarily have the funds to do so. If you don't know what restaurants there are near us, just ask. We'd be happy to tell you all the places we can't afford to eat at.

5. For the Girls: Fuzzy Socks.

Whether we're walking across campus in the cold or just hanging out, fuzzy socks are a girl's best friend in college. Trust me with this, you can't go wrong. The softer, the better.

6. Bathroom Supplies.

Everyone runs out of toothpaste or toilet paper eventually. Some other things to consider are toothbrushes, Tide To-Go pens, tissues, lint rollers, and for girls; make-up remover wipes. While these things seems like a bad idea, we'll be happy to get them.

7. Favorite Movies.

Even if we don't have a DVD Player in our room, I guarantee that we know someone who does. Movie nights happen more frequently than we care to admit (because that means we're not actually studying).

These are just some ideas to get you started. Be creative! No matter what's inside the box, we'll just be happy you thought of us!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
