7 Things We've All Said While Living In A Dorm

It's a love-hate relationship.

7 Things We've All Said While Living In A Dorm

Living in a dorm is something you can't describe until you've actually, well, lived in a dorm. It's small, you get overheated when there's only 5 people in it, and don't even get me started on loft beds. Here are the 10 things we've all said while living in a dorm.

1. "Do you want to rearrange our room?"

If you're like me and my roommate, you'd be on your fourth room arrangement of the semester. When you live in a tiny room, it's really easy to get sick of the arrangement when you're always spending time there, so thinking of different ways to make it look better are not rare occurrences.

2. "Our CA does not look happy."

It's a love hate relationship. And by that I mean that you love them and they hate how loud you can be during quiet hours.

3. "We NEED to take the trash out."

Waiting as long as possible to take the trash out even though the trash shoot is two doors down? Yep.

4. "Do you think this is okay to eat?"

Admit it, you risk eating expired food just to avoid walking to the dining hall.

5. "We need to pick up."

My roommate and I are actually surprisingly well at keeping our room clean, but it's a whole different story when we're getting ready or our friends stay the night.

6. "I swear, if I touch anymore hair in the shower that isn't mine..."

I hate to break it to the incoming freshmen, but the rumors are true, there will be girls' hair on the walls of the shower, and it's not pretty.

7. "Get me out of here."

I love being in college, but sometimes living in a tiny room all the time can drive you crazy, and you just want to be at home.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.
