They say you really change when you leave home and come to college. I know I have, in both good ways and bad.
1. Excel / Google Sheets
You can make them as simple or as complicated as you want, but it keeps everything super organized and in one place.
2. Post-it Notes
I like to leave myself reminders of due-dates and other things I need to get done right in my line of vision... i.e. somewhere on my computer.
3. My Planner
Like I've said before, I'd die without my planner. I use it religiously. It's color coded. It goes where I go. If you don't have one I would highly recommend getting one. Right now most calendars and planners are on sale because it's already February. (Side note, if you need help picking a planner I have an article for that here).
4. Polynesian Sauce
I didn't try Polynesian sauce until my Freshman year... now it's my absolute favorite sauce at Chick-Fil-A. Riley has made me try a lot of new foods since we've been in college, and I'm learning that I've been missing out on a lot of things.
5. Emails
I used to only use emails to get around my high school's "No cellphones" policy. Now, it's a vital form of communication. And if you're one of those people who never check their email and has thousands of unopened emails, you are the worst kind of person.
6. GroupMe
The best way to organize any type of plans. It's much better than getting in a group chat with people for a class project only to find out one of them doesn't have an iPhone and is going to turn the whole chat green.
7. Stickers
To each their own when it comes to personalizing laptops and water bottles and whatever other surfaces you can put stickers on. It's a great way to show the world who you are without saying a word. Redbubble has a ton!
