Wow, I can't believe I am already finished with my first semester of college! After a long and grueling week of finals, I am so happy to have a whole month at home without having to set an alarm clock for the morning. Throughout this semester, I have had great experiences and gained a lot of knowledge.
Here's a list of 7 things I’ve discovered about college.
1. You make a lot of friends
Meeting so many people is definitely overwhelming and it is difficult to remember everyone’s name at first. I’ve made new and amazing friends at college and I couldn’t be more grateful!
2. You are independent for the first time in your life
This can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the person.
3. You are forced to step out of your comfort zone
I can't even count the number of icebreaker games I've played this semester.
4. Your parents can’t access your grades
It’s your job to keep up with your assignments, go to class, and study!!
5. You are forced to become extremely frugal
Dollar menus and Goodwill replace TakoSushi and Lilly Pulitzer.
6. Sleep is optional
Maybe you’re studying, hanging out with friends, or getting a late night milkshake from sonic. Sleeping is optional in college.
7. You fall in love with your school more and more each day
Beautiful campus, great professors, good friends, and freedom. You realize just how much you love college (except during finals week).
