7 Things Every College Student Does Towards the End of the Semester

As the semester is coming to a close, almost every college student is going through the same stress yet excitement that their classes are almost over. In the next few weeks, here are a few things that every college student is doing to prepare for the semester ending.

1. Contemplating going to almost every single class, every single day.

We've all had those days where it seems impossible to get out of bed and go to class, but as the semester is ending we find ourselves having these days more and more often. Even while walking to class we find ourselves thinking, "Do I really have to go?"

2. Calculating the scores you would need to receive on a final exam in order to get the final grade you want.

Since finals are right around the corner, most college students are busy calculating every possible score they can get on a final exam just to ensure that they either pass the class or get a final grade that they need. This could possibly the most frustrating and anxious feeling before the semester ends.

3. Think of all the careers that DON'T require a college education.

Stress levels can rise beyond belief around finals, so dropping out of college seems like a good choice to almost every student during this time.

4. Crying every day because you're broke, stressed, and starving.

By the end of the semester all of that money you've saved up is gone and all that is left to eat is dining hall food or soup and we all know how gross that can be.

5. Showing up to class in your sweat pants and bed head because you literally do not care anymore.

We already can't be bothered with school, why should we be bothered with our appearances?

6. Stressing about how stressed you are.

We've all reached that point where we have thought, "This amount of stress can't be good. Should I get help?" And then think about all the other things that are wrong with us, adding even more stress.

7. Don't believe me? Check this out.

Overall, every college student will experience these things more than once during their college careers. It only gets harder and harder but in the end it is completely worth it.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
