7 Things to Do During Spring Break

Spring Break is just around the corner, so for those of you that still don't know what you're doing, here is a list of 7 things that you can do during Spring Break.

1. Hang Out w/Friends

Invite some friends to come home with you for Spring Break! True, that means you'll have to live with them for 10 days, but what's the harm in that, right? No one wants to be lonely during the break. If you can't find people to come home with you, then that's the perfect opportunity to reconnect with those from high school to whom you spoke.

2. Go to the Zoo

As long as the weather is nice, you should head to the zoo! Even if it is for the cute stuffed giraffes at the gift shop. Animals are always cool to look at.

3. Go to SixFlags

Amusements parks are almost a no-brainer. Even if you don't like rollercoasters, there's still the waterpark and other rides that don't include going extremely fast and upside down.

4. Have a Park Party

Parks are always a fun idea; climbing trees, swinging on the playground, racing friends down hills, etc.

5. Make a Movie

Have some fun and make a short movie/vlog/music video! You don't even need an actual camera. Just use what you have, even your phones work. Then, take it a step farther and upload it to YouTube and share it with family and friends.

6. Have a Movie Marathon, or Two

Spring Break is the perfect chance to watch a movie marathon! Whether that be Star Wars, Twilight, or Final Destination, you are sure to have fun!

7. Start a YouTube Channel

Take all of your adventures and put them up on YouTube. From dares to trips to pranks. Someone is bound to watch them! Heck, take what you made from number 5 on this list and put it on here.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
