7 Things I Don't Tell My Mom Enough

1. Thank you for your support

I know that wherever I go in life, I will always have you behind me. You have always supported me in any sport, club or decision I make, which means a lot to me. I know that if everyone else doubted me, you would be the one saying "you can do it." It means a lot to me to know that I have you behind me in every path I chose to take.

2. I thank you for being a hardworking mom

I know I fail to say thank you for everything that you get me, but here it is. I thank you for all your hard work to ensure that I always get what I need and that I'm always allowed to participate in what I desire. Money has never been an issue, and you're to thank for that.

3. I thank you for devoting your time to me

Whether it's 2:00 a.m. and I'm waking you up crying because I'm sick, or it's casual coffee shop talks in the mornings, every second, minute or hour counts. I thank you for sharing your time with me when I know you have plenty of other things you could be doing. I always know that if I ever need anything, you'd stop what you're doing to tend to my needs.

4. I thank you for never giving up on me

I know that no matter what mistake I make that you will never give up on me. You're the one person that will help me back up and tell me to try again. You never fail to keep me going in everything that I do. I know we have our good days and bad days, but I always know that at the end of the day, you will always be there for me, helping me succeed.

5. I thank you for being the "strict mom"

Yes , you read that right. I was never the girl allowed to stay out till three in the morning. I wasn't always allowed to every party. I wasn't always allowed to stay the night at random people's houses. And that's okay. I'm here to thank you for saying no. Thank you, truly, because I know you kept me safe. I know you cared enough to ensure where I was at every night. So thanks for being the "strict mom".

6. Thank you for leading me in the right way

Thank you for showing me good from bad, for teaching me what should and shouldn't be done. Thank you for bringing me to church and raising me in a Christ-like home, for I believe it has made a huge impact on my life today.

7. Lastly I want to say thank you for just being you

You're an amazing women inside and out, and I know you always keep at heart what's best for me. Even though I haven't always liked you telling me no throughout the years, I know it was for a good reason. I thank you for telling me no and keeping me to a higher standard, because it made me who I am today.

Thank you for everything Mom! I love you.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
