I started my senior year at Berkeley this year. And despite all the papers, midterms, and intense study sessions coming my way, I was looking forward to it. Berkeley is Berkeley – and I can’t help but miss it when I’m gone. With all that said though, here are the 7 things I think me and other college students miss about home once were here.

1. Comfort

A big part of home is how comfortable it is. I don’t think I fully appreciated the beauty of a comfortable living room until I got to school.

2. Laundry

I feel like this speaks for itself. I miss not having to pay for laundry. Plus, I never have quarters.

3. Stocked refrigerator

There is a magnificent sense of security knowing that you will have food in the fridge that you don’t have to buy yourself.

4. Mom

She gets her own category because my house would fall apart without her and moms are kind of just like that.

5. Pets

If you have pets at home, then I guarantee you miss them like crazy and probably more than your siblings.

6. Siblings

With that said, I also miss my siblings. If anything, they were at least fun to argue with.

7. Cars

I miss my car probably every single time I have to go get groceries and either bus or walk back with them. Milk is heavy.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
