Life at college is busy. Sometimes it’s hard to think about anything other than the billion things you’re trying to balance (homework, tests, relationships, every other aspect of life), but I guarantee that as a college student, you find time to think about these seven things at least once a day. Just because you’re busy doesn’t mean you can’t dream, right? You’re probably a college student if these seven things are at the top of your wish list.

1. Good Grades

All you want are good grades because good grades mean passing and passing means earning a degree and earning a degree means graduation paired with a successful life and no more school! Woo! Good grades put you one step closer to your goal. You may claim that you don’t care about good grades, but we all know the truth.

2. Free Food

Let’s face it – you’re broke. It’s all part of the whole college experience. If you’re not broke in college, you’re doing it wrong. However, just because you’re in college doesn’t mean you don’t want to eat well. But somehow eating well and being broke don’t quite go together. This is why you jump at any the chance to go to any event where there will be free food. Even if you don’t actually want to participate in said event, if there’s free food, you’re going.

3. More Hours In A Day

Because 24 hours just isn’t enough. You know what I’m talking about.

4. Money

If you had more money, you could eat well while avoiding all the events that you attend solely for the free food. You could also have a reliable car, new clothes, and an upgrade on your phone that happens to be glitching hardcore. At this point, does college even have any benefits? If you’re not sure, you’re definitely in college.

5. A Social Life

There’s not enough time to finish all of your homework, much less have any fun. If you find yourself staring out the windows in the library trying to remember the last time you did something “for fun,” you’re not alone. We’ve all been there. In fact, you might be weird if you claim that you have an existing social life.

6. Sleep

While everything else is crazy and you’re just trying to make it through these next few hours until it’s midnight, there’s only one thing on your mind: sleep. It’s kind of hard to focus when you can feel the gravitational pull of your bed dragging you towards it from across campus. Those are the nights that you realize that only sleeping for four hours every night just isn’t going to cut it, but you continue to do it anyway because college.

7. More Sleep

Just when you think you’re rested, you remember that you’re actually still tired.

Even though you find yourself wishing for these things and wondering if it’s even worth it most of the time, you know it is because you wouldn’t know what to do with yourself otherwise. At the end of each day, you know you're exactly where you need to be.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
