So 2016 hasn't been the best year for a lot of us. Actually, it kind of sucked with the presidential election being so divisive, violent incidents such as one at the Orlando Pulse club, and many celebrity deaths. I know some people that just want to pretend 2016 never happened. Although we can't pretend it didn't happen, we can be optimistic for 2017. 2017 brings about new music, new movies, new shows, etc. Here are seven things to look forward to in 2017.

1. "The Belko Experiment", and other new movies

"The Belko Experiment" trailer certainly caught both my sisters attention, and my attention. Coming to theaters on March 17th, 2017, the movie seems to be getting a lot of attention already. With movies such as "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" and "Pitch Perfect 3", 2017 will definitely be big on movies.

2. "Beauty and the Beast"

While this definitely could have gone with number one, I'm looking forward to it way too much to not give it its own spot on this list. One of my favorite actresses paying one of my favorite Disney princesses...what could be better? This is a remake that I will most definitely be going to see when it comes to theaters on March 17th.

3. "Star Wars: Episode VIII"

This may not be in theaters until December 15th, 2017, but it's definitely worth the wait. According to a fan survey conducted by Fandango, "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is the number one most anticipated film of 2017, followed by "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", and "Beauty and the Beast" third. Another thing to look forward to is seeing Carrie Fisher as Leia one last time.

4. Girl Scouts Cereal

I, for one, am completely in love with Girl Scouts cookies. With that said, I can't be the only one looking forward to testing out this cereal. The cereal will be made by General Mills and the Girl Scouts, and proceeds will benefit the Girl Scouts. Indeed, the future certainly looks bright.

5. New Binge-Worthy Netflix Material

Netflix has released a list of what will be coming, and I must say, I am ecstatic! Movie titles include "The Parent Trap", "Nancy Drew", "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", and all of the (non Zach-Snyder) Superman movies. One of my favorite book series will be coming to Netflix with Neil Patrick Harris staring in "A Series of Unfortunate Events" as well.

6. Total Solar Eclipse

While total solar eclipses aren't extremely rare, they usually can only be seen in certain locations. The last time there was one that could be seen from anywhere in the country was 1918. On August 21st, 2017, a solar eclipse is expected to be visible across the entire U.S.

7. New Music

Avril Lavigne is only one of many artists that have confirmed albums being released in 2017. Others among the list include Eminem, Drake, Katy Perry, and Ed Sheeran. Yet another thing to look forward to are the tours. Artists such as Panic! at the Disco already have tickets on sale for their 2017 tours. As a music lover, new albums and songs are something I'm very excited for. And if this past year was terrible for you, just remember there's at least one good thing about 2017...it means 2016 is over.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer.
