7 Things I Never Thanked My Dad For

I know growing up I never told you how much I really do love you and I never got to thank you for the little things you did for me. I just want to thank you for the little moments, that were actually quite big for me.

1. Our runs for fast food. This was one of my favorite things to do together when I was younger, it was like our own world. Plus it got to be a secret from mom.

2. Car rides together when you sang to me. I loved you driving me to school, telling to put you on my "snap to the chat" all my friends thought you were hysterical.

3.You visiting me at work. It was a nice surprise even when I said you were embarrassing me, it made the long days so much better.

4. When I am mad at you, you make me laugh. I know I tell you I do not find it funny, but you know by the smile on my face you did make it better.

5. Sticking up for me even when I told you I did not want you to. I still do not like that you stood up for me when I specifically told you not to. I do however appreciate you wanted what is best for me and trying to protect me no matter what.

6. Your nicknames for me. I love that you call me doodle no matter how much I say I don't.

7.Our phone calls. I love hearing the funny voices you make, it makes me homesick for a place I never thought I would miss so much.

We Heart It

Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
