With Christmas fast approaching, it's a good idea to take a break from the hectic crowds and shopping and relax with some great festive shows.

It is officially less than one week until Christmas is here. And while most people are busy running around trying to get ready for the day, whether it's with presents or food, it's easy to not really feel in the holiday spirit. The best way to combat this holiday stress is by listening to Christmas music, making cookies, and watching movies. There are various movies I like to watch this time of year, but another favorite thing I do is catch up on the holiday episodes of my favorite shows. This isn't always something that people think to do, so here is a list of some of the shows that are at there best with their special holiday themed episodes.

1. Friends

Friends was at their best during their Thanksgiving episodes (I highly recommend season 1 and season 8 with Brad Pitt guest starring) but also has some pretty good Christmas and New Years ones.

2. Gossip Girl

Much like Friends, Gossip Girl really brings the excitement (and drama) at Thanksgiving. Season 1's Blair Waldorf Must Pie! is iconic, but there are also plenty of drama in the other holiday episodes.

3. Glee

Watching these festive episodes containing all of the best Christmas songs is a great way to get into the spirit. Some of their renditions have been frequently played songs around this time of year in their own right, including one of my favorites in Season 2 when Rachel and Finn sing Wham's "Last Christmas."

4. The Office

Some of the best Office episodes came when the party planning committee came together to plan an amazing Halloween and Christmas party and the inevitable chaos ensues. Season 2's episode featuring a Yankee swap is truly a fine point in an amazing series.

5. New Girl

New Girl has featured a couple of different Christmas episodes. Highlights include Schmidtt as a 'Sexy Santa' and the gang rushing trying to get to multiple parties in one night. Jess's ridiculous holiday spirit really helps to inspire a little holiday spirit in everyone.

6. 30 Rock

30 Rock is a very underrated show in general, but their quality Christmas specials are not something to miss. Being a show within a show they usually have a lot to play with and it's clear in their holiday episodes.

7. Saturday Night Live

Saturday Night Live has had plenty of classic skits over the years, but some of their most memorable are their Christmas ones. The Hanukkah song from Adam Sandler should be added to everyone's holiday playlist and it's impossible not to watch "Schweddy Balls" at this time of year. I recommend watching the compilation episode that they usually play on NBC in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

These episodes can all be found on Netflix and other streaming sites. So if you're in the mood for something festive but don't have the time to commit to watching a movie, I recommend watching any of these episodes to get into the spirit.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
