If you’re like me, you’re always looking for the best beauty bang for your buck. If you’re a college student beauty maven, you understand the importance of finding these beauty products to keep your skin fresh and glowing. Here’s some of my top beauty picks that won’t break your piggy bank. (Note: Prices may vary due to where they are purchased)

1. Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream, $5.99

If you’re a dry-skinned girl, this is an amazing moisturizer. This makes your skin feel silky smooth. And a little goes a long way, so you get a lot of product for the price!

2. Dove Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo, $3.99

This is a must-have dry shampoo for the days in between washes. It’s a great choice as a styling product too. It gives great volume to your hair. The smell is amazing and leaves no dandruff-like powder in your hair. Definitely a great product to refresh your hair throughout the hot summer days!

3. Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser, $5.99

This pleasant-smelling cleanser is amazing to refresh your skin at the end of the day. It is gentle enough for sensitive skin. If you’re acne prone this likely won’t work for you, but if you need a regular daily cleanser, this is perfect!

4. Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray, $5.99

Get ready for perfect beach hair without the beach! This spray helps your hair get the perfect beach day texture with some simple spraying, scrunching, and drying. A little bit of hairspray to finish off, and everyone will think you just left the beach.

5. Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Makeup Fixing Spray, $8.00

Spritz this on your makeup to keep it looking fresh and on point all day long! It has a nice spray range and the mist is very fine, so you’re able to easily cover your whole face. The price is great for the size!

6. Outlast XTEND Clear Gel Deodorant, $4.29

Okay, this may not be a beauty product, but it will be your BFF during the summer months. It’s a gel deodorant, so you won’t have any of those dreaded white stains on your clothes. It lasts all day (and trust me, if a deodorant can last all day here in the South, it definitely works). Just a few swipes and you’re good to go!

7. E.l.f. Aqua Beauty Radiant Gel Lip Stain, $4.00

Get ready for a beautiful pout! This lip stain is a great way to put color on your lips without committing to a heavy lipstick. You could even use it as a cheek color to get more bang for your buck! With several colors to choose from, you have multiple options to perfect your summer glow.

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
