It’s April and we all know what that means: school is coming to a close and summer is approaching fast. Summer is all about the lake, beaches, being pool side and avoiding all responsibilities. It’s the season of bikini tops, tank tops, and short shorts which everyone loves, except a small percentage of us. I’m part of that percentage. We are the pale skin people who don’t tan. We burn faster than a frat guy shot-gunning a beer. No matter how much sunscreen we put on or if we are only putting ourselves in the sun for 30 minutes, we will get burnt. And nope, it doesn’t turn into a tan, it peels and we are white as Casper again. Here are a few things all of us pale people go through on almost a daily basis.

1. SPF 800 won't even protect you from the sun.

People always ask, “Did you put sunscreen on?” The answer is always yes! It just didn’t work.

2. You look like Casper at the beach.

We come walking out of the water and people think you are one with the jellyfish...transparent.

3. You get sunburnt on a cloudy day.

We are not even safe from the clouds, they are out to get us.

4. We do anything to find some shade.

We love going outside but the sun hurts us, so we have to find our best friend, a.k.a the shade.

5. Aloe vera is a gift from god.

Aloe Vera has saved us one too many times.

6. There isn’t enough foundation in the world to match our skin tone.

I recommend baby powder to solve all of our problems.

7. All of your friends start keeping sunscreen at their house for you.

Your friends know how burnt you get, so their parents make sure to always have sunscreen handy.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
