7 Stages Of Taking A Summer Class

It's not uncommon for students to take classes over the summer. It usually isn't someone's first choice but it is a good way to get a class or two out of the way quicker than taking it during the school year. I am currently taking Business Stats online and it is the bane of my existence so I decided to put together a virtual mood board. Maybe others can relate to these stages of the summer class experience.

1. Realizing your summer class starts days after you just finished the last semester

2. Realizing that you have to learn 5 months worth of material in a month and a half

Homework due pretty much every single day? Please make it stop already!

3. trying to motivate yourself to actually sit down and get work done when there are a million things you would rather do

When I sit down to do my work I need to give myself a literal pep talk to even open up my homework assignment.

4. Taking your first test knowing that you only have one more left to take

5. Only to realize that that means you have to KILL it both times because there's no room for mistakes

6. Turning in your test online knowing that you'll see your grade in seconds (rather than after a week when you've had time to accept defeat)

7. Finishing your class knowing you're free for the rest of the summer and even if you didn't get the result you wanted, at least its over.

I don't love taking these classes but hey! I would much rather do a month and a half of stats as opposed to a whole semester any day. To all my fellow students doing summer classes- hang in there, we'll all get through this together.
