Eggnog: a delicious Christmas drink made from milk, sugar, whipped eggs, and spice. This drink is guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit. But say the word eggnog, and other people may not be under the same impression. Here are the seven stages of trying — and eventually loving —the seasonal drink.

1. Excitement

You can't wait to try the drink many rave about. Sure, some people don't like eggnog. But so many others are crazy about it so they must be right. Right??

2. Betrayal

Wow, that couldn't have been eggnog. You couldn't even swallow all the cream at once. This is what people wait for all year. This is it?!?

3. Anger

You had never been more excited to try this creamy, spiced concoction. You had no idea of its taste but you were so willing to try. But that wasn't worth it. Who put you up to this? You were told it was amazing, it would put you in the holiday spirit. Man, you were tricked!

4. Questioning

Could it really have been that bad? Maybe the much too creamy part is supposed to be good. Maybe its even an acquired taste, like coffee. That sounds about right.

5. Curiosity

You can't help but be intrigued. If everyone loves it, shouldn't you be a part of this trend? Who are these eggnog lovers? What are they tasting that you just don't taste?

6. Hesitancy

But you really didn't like it the first time. It's not getting any better sitting on the counter for even longer. The first taste was decidedly not fun. But it cannot be as bad as you're making it out to be. It's a festive holiday beverage! Maybe you forgot to add the rum or brandy or cognac, that has to make it better. Okay let's try it again. Deep breath...

7. Acceptance

This is actually...amazing? Did something just happen to me? Did it just take some getting used to? Either way, you're officially a convert. You continue to down the entire drink so your only problem is getting another glass.

Eggnog lovers of the world unite!

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Barn Pros

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.
