Spongebob is not only a wonderful cartoon, it is an iconic part of cartoon history. With its fun characters and hilarious jokes, this show is perfect for bringing a smile to the faces of animation fans. With summer coming to an end, I say we all deserve a few more smiles before the hustle and bustle of school begins again. Here are a few episodes to check out before the summer ends.

1. Band Geeks

When Squidward tries to get a ragtag marching band together in order to impress his old school rival, you know some memorable scenes and great laughs are in store. Not only does this episode provide us with hilarious and quotable moments, it gives us one of the most memorable music sequences in cartoon history. This episode definitely has a special place in my heart as a cartoon fan AND as a member of my own high school marching band. If you haven't seen this episode in a while, I highly recommend giving it a watch.

2. Chocolate with Nuts

Everyone loves chocolate and that is exactly the mentality SpongeBob and Patrick count on as they attempt to sell chocolate bars. This episode is hilarious and provides us with memorable moments that center around the love for sweet, sweet chocolate. Anyone who has ever worked in a sales-related job can relate to the colorful characters that SpongeBob and Patrick meet throughout the episode. At the end, the boys get their own taste of fancy living as we get a lovely taste of fun animation.

3. Pizza Delivery

Who could forget the one time the Krusty Krab sold pizza? This episode delivered high amounts of laughs as Spongebob and Squidward try and navigate the outskirts of Bikini Bottom with only a pizza and SpongeBob's pioneer expertise. Any episode that has Squidward and Spongebob working off one another is bound to have some good laughs and this one is no exception. We get amazing humor, hilarious singing, and lovely visuals in this absolutely wondrefully delievered episodes.

4. Rock Bottom

Though SpongeBob has a stressful time trying to escape the creepy and dark depths of Rock Bottom, fans of Spongebob found themselves rolling with laughter. For me, this epsiode always had a creepy and cool vibe that made for an interesting watch. This episode is one of my mother's favorites and I can bet that it will be one of your favorites as well!

With the addition of a hilarious narrator, we have an episode that simply cannot be missed by any fan of animation.

SpongeBob and Patrick remind us that your imagination can take you far when they find joy in a cardboard box. This episode is great for laughs because it is perfect at timing its jokes with the audio and the visuals. Plus, the comedy of Squidward reacting off of Patrick and SpongeBob's antics is always hilarious to watch. If you are looking for an episode to expand your imagination and sense of humor, definitely give this one a watch.

7. Frankendoodle

Every artist can relate to losing their favorite pencil. However, not many can boast that their lost pencil brought drawings to life. When a doodle version of SpongeBob goes rogue, hilarity ensues. What I love about SpongeBob is that most early episodes had a quotable line or phrase in each episode. This episode is no different and provides a lot of hilarity along the way. Definitely give this artistly hilarious episode a watch.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.
