Leisurely night drives and summer go together like watching holiday movie marathons in the winter, am I right? Kind of? Anyway, here are seven songs that'll definitely be making your summer night car ride playlist after checking them out!

1. "Still In Love" -- JAHKOY.

With this track's juicy synth bass and smooth vocals leaving us with a catchy melody, "Still In Love" brings an upbeat R&B tune that'll easily have you moving to the beat; especially when driving on the freeway with your windows down and the cool air rushing past your cheeks.

2. "Karma" -- ALMA.

As soon as the track begins, Alma's beautiful and husky voice quickly begins singing out every reason to leave her ex-lover through an upbeat and climatic series of piano chords, strong drum combo and a synth bass, leading us into an anxious rise, and when the beat finally drops, "I bring the karma to your game, you better run, run, run yeah, it's coming your way" powerfully comes at us. The sense of fearlessness that the strong beat and catchy lyrics in "Karma" shower on us go great with a night commute.

3. "Silhouette" -- Goldroom.

"Silhouette" brings us into a semi-trance with its spacey chords and catchy funk bass as the words "without you" float around the track. Once it all kicks in with the drums, it'll be hard to keep yourself from wanting to dance!

4. "Fool 4 You" -- Mr. Little Jeans.

"Fool 4 You" rings true to its title as its transition for the beat drop is like a sparkly and smooth melt, resembling the feeling of falling for someone. Its mesmerizing sound of synth chords, electric arpeggios and spacey strings will have you feel like you're gliding down the roads, perfect for basking in the cool night vibes.

5. "Iced Tea" -- crwn.

Along with its chill and laid-back vibe through the track's fluid hi-hats, ripples of harp strings, and other sprinkled sounds, crwn's "Iced Tea" is still able to make us bob our heads to the beat with its smooth kicks and hard bass.

6. "All Night" (feat. Knox Fortune) -- Chance The Rapper.

A bit mesmerizing, "All Night" immediately starts us off with house-like tones, hitting us with a hard kick and a deep and smooth warp bass line that continues throughout the entire song. With Chance rapping about just wanting to enjoy a night out without people taking advantage of him and Knox Fortune's voice looping "All night, I been drinking all night/I been drinking all night, I been drinking, ay ay," this track injects us with an upbeat energy while getting to our destination. How can you not be on the move when listening to this song?

7. "Unstoppable" (FKJ Remix) -- Lianne La Havas.

The FKJ Remix begins with a few chopped samples of Lianne's warm voice over a groovy set of spacey chords and strong drum kicks, then expands into a fun and lively soul, pop and R&B mix.

Enjoy your next nightly commute with these new tracks and drive safe!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
