As time moves forward good music remains ageless. I can't tell you how many times I have been listening to a song outside of my generation and some older person always says, "What do you know about that song?" or "You're too young for that." Good songs don't have a generation, and here are 10 songs that won't go out of style. All songs are at least 10 years old, and I limited my list to only one song per artist.

1. "It wasn't me" by Shaggy

I haven't found anyone who has actually hated this song, and I'd question their taste in music if they did. Even searching for the song on YouTube, just type "It" and the first selection that comes up is, of course, "It wasn't me." The song was released in 2000.

2. "All-star" by Smash mouth

This song is definitely a classic. The moment I saw a green ogre step out of his swamp outhouse I knew this song would be embedded in my head (much like the YouTube video embedded in this article). The song came out in 1999 -- lucky, because if not then what other amazing song would be used for this scene in "Shrek" in 2001?

3. "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang

This song is considered one of the great backbones of hip-hop. Anyone who likes hip-hop and rap knows this song. After all this time, I still can't correctly rap along with the song. This song was made in 1979.

4. "Creep" by TLC

A song about cheating on a cheating spouse. This song was the first single on TLC's second album "CrazySexyCool" released in 1994.

5. "Renegade" by Styx

Maybe not as popular as some of the other songs on this list, but it is also ageless. I first heard this song on an episode of "Supernatural," where I imagine quite a few people first heard it.

6. "Pokemon" theme song

With Pokemon Go bringing Pokemon back into the limelight, this song is also back from the dead. With lyrics so inspirational, it's nearly impossible for you to sing this song around other people without having them join in to sing it with you.

7. "Remember the Time" by Michael Jackson

Sure, I could have picked any Michael Jackson song. Deciding on which one was tough, but it had to be something that relates to the article just right, and Michael Jackson has plenty of songs that can be used in many different situations. If this were an article about movie music videos, "Thriller" would have been picked, or if we were wondering if Annie was okay, "Smooth Criminal" would have been great. However, if we are remembering old songs then the best song would have to be "Remember the Time."

Do you find these songs ageless? Which songs would you have put on this list?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
