I don’t think I’ve ever met a person that hated a concert but when it comes to concert addicts we just really really love them. It’s almost a drug to us because we’re so invested in the music.

We usually have an ongoing list of who we want to see and there’s always a concert on the horizon. Our bank accounts might not look as pretty as yours, but money has no value compared to the satisfaction we get from a concert.

1. You drop good money on a band you love.

You’ve spent anywhere from $5 to $40 and probably more than $100 on a favorite concert but you know that you can’t put a price tag on a good night and even better experience.

2. You always know how to get to the front.

You might start the night in the very back but by the end of it you’re in front. not sure if we’re really good at pushing people or if we just act like we have friends up front, either way a good spot is crucial for the concert

3. You listen to a song and it brings you back.

You know when you turn on that one song and it reminds you over every single thing you were doing the last time you heard it. Yeah that happens to us every time we hear a song from the set list they played that night.

4. You know your favorite venues.

Not saying that we won’t go to a concert because it’s not at a good venue but also not saying that we will

5. You’d choose a concert over a nice purse any day.

Listen y’all, we pay for experiences here and not materials. A good night with your favorite band will do us better than a nice purse

6. You know when to put your phone down because it’s about the experience and not the best pic.

Don’t get me wrong, we’re all about a good pic to post that night but when it comes down to it, we’re rarely the ones with our phones up in the air blocking people’s views all night. Seriously, it’s about the experience and living in the moment with our favorite band than trying to get the best angle.

7. We lost track of how many concerts we’ve been to.

I love when I get the question “how many concerts have you been to?” funny story, I have no idea because I lost track a long time ago but I can for sure tell you how many times I’ve seen my favorite band play, the venue, who I was with and what I was wearing.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
