Let's be honest: the prospect of a "Gilmore Girls" revival has got a lot of people excited -- including me. The more I got to thinking about it, the more I realized how much I had in common with the show's beloved "matriarch," Lorelai Gilmore. So now, for all the other Gilmore fans of the world, here are 7 signs that Miss Lorelai Gilmore just might be your spirit animal.

1. You have an unhealthy obsession with coffee.

Coffee is your lifeblood. You love it, you can't live without it, and if you do have to live without it, you think you're dying. Plus, going to your favorite coffee shop lets you taunt that guy friend of yours and snoop on the kooky locals.

2. Your sarcasm game is strong.

You use it when you're feeling snarky, as a form of affection, when you haven't had enough coffee (see above), or with pretty much any other emotion under the sun. Fear not, we love you for it. It adds to your charming charisma and witticism.

3. You know all the latest gossip on your wacky neighbors.

Living in a small town means everybody is bound to know everybody -- and everybody's business. However, you know things about your neighbors that even they may not know. It's a talent; it's a gift.

4. You're extremely loyal to your friends and family.

Your friends are like your family and your family is, well, like your family. Maybe your closest relative is even your BFF. Though you won't get along with EVERYONE, you do your best by those closest to you.

5. You're considered the cool one or the rebel in your family.

Maybe you didn't go as drastic as, say, getting pregnant at 16 and cutting all ties with your parents for a while, but if you're a bit of a wild card in your family deck or your maybe just cooler than your future child, you have found a kindred spirit in Lorelai Gilmore.

6. You have an interesting on-again, off-again thing with that longtime friend of yours.

You've been friends forever, maybe because that certain someone has served you coffee and fed your addiction every day for years, but maybe you find yourself questioning if there's something more between you. As always, life gets in the way, but you know you always have someone you can depend on.

7. You know how to take care of yourself, and you know what matters most at the end of the day.

When life throws you a punch, do you lie down and take it? No! You step up to the plate, do what needs to be done, and take care of business. Added bonus: you put your family first, you know where your priorities lie, and nothing gets in the way of that. You go, Gilmore, er, Gilmore-esque person.

And, now that you know who your spirit animal, or in this case person, is, go forth, grab some coffee, and wait for that "Gilmore Girls" revival.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
