If you are part of the millennial generation, then you probably grew up with social media. After social media became popular, everyone wanted to update their profile pictures. People started mastering the art of selfie-taking. However, taking a selfie that accurately represents who you are is still not easy when you are not a photogenic person. If you can relate to these signs, then you probably are not a photogenic person.
1. You spend hours trying to take the perfect selfie.
Taking good selfies is a struggle for you. You take selfies with fifty different facial expressions, until you find the most flattering one. Then when you go through all of the pictures, you find at least one thing wrong with every single one.
2. A lot of times, the best picture of you only shows half of your face.
You finally take a perfect selfie. Only half of your face is in it, but that is what makes it so perfect. It leaves people wondering what the other half of your face looks like. This picture probably makes you look mysterious, which could be a good thing.
3. When you get tagged in a photo, you always get scared of what you will look like.
You get anxious as you wait for the photo to load. Will you have a double chin? Did you know the picture was being taken? Will you have an awkward posture? How many of your friends have already seen it? You never gave your friend permission to upload a photo of you. The photo finally uploads. The picture is of you next to your best friend. Your best friend looks flawless. You, on the other hand, should be edited out.
4. After finally taking a good selfie, you realize that your head looks disproportionate to the rest of your body.
You look like a bobble-head doll! You have to change your profile picture immediately.
5. Taking good pictures with your friends is always a challenge because it has to be at the best angle for you.
You spend an hour trying to find the perfect angle. You usually end up deleting it anyway.
6. Your friends somehow take bad photos of you all the time.
It is easy for your friends to take bad photos of you. You either have to get better at posing, or better at blocking the camera. Otherwise, those photos will come back to haunt you.
7. You finally give up on taking the perfect selfie and decide to make a picture of your cat your profile picture instead.
Your cat is so adorable and is much more photogenic than you are. People might think you are a cat based on your profile picture, but you have stopped caring.
