There always comes a point in our lives where the inevitable happens. We’ve seemingly watched all there is to watch on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. There’s nothing worse than knowing that you’ve finally finished the last episode of the show you’ve been binging for weeks, only to realize that you’re not quite sure where to go from there. Luckily, there is a never ending array of new shows to start and help you get through your winter break! So, if you think you’ve seen it all then this list is here to tell you, that in fact you haven’t.
"The Great British Baking Competition."
Winter break is meant to be relaxing. Finals are over, you don’t have to worry about studying, and at this point you don’t have to worry about the hectics of the holidays. So, if you’re looking to relax, this show is it. Unlike American cooking competitions, there’s no backstabbing or yelling. Instead, you get to watch talented people bake amazing things and have them judged by an old woman named Mary Berry. It’s calming, content, and all the same. Available on Netflix, Amazon Prime.
"Worst Cooks in America."
On the other end of the spectrum, you can watch Bobby Flay and Anne Burrell yell at people who know nothing about cooking. This show is easy to watch and entreating and in turn makes you feel really good about yourself and your cooking abilities. There’s nothing quite like watching people attempting to serve Bobby Flay food that makes him gag. Available on Netflix.
"Broadchurch."
This British show following two detectives trying to solve the murder of a young boy in a seaside town, sounds typical. Yet, this show is enticing. There are only 16 episodes, so it’s a show series, but every episode has a cliffhanger that makes you want to keep watching. There are so many twists and turns that you won’t be able to stop, even though Netflix will probably ask if you’re still watching. Available on Netflix.
"Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil."
If you love Marvel, and are patiently waiting for "Captain America: Civil War," then look no further than these two Netflix originals. Both shows follow two Marvel superheroes in New York and are the perfect fix for your Marvel yearnings. Available on Netflix.
"The Man in High Castle."
This Amazon original imagines what it’d be like if we lost World War II. If you love history, then watch this show. It’s incredibly interesting and harrowing to see what would happen if Germany and Japan had won the war and taken over most of North America. Available on Amazon Prime.
"Once Upon A Time."
If you can dedicate a lot of your time to watching Netflix and never getting up again, then you watch this one. This show brings fairy tales to life, and adds twists and spins on them with a hint of Disney magic. The graphics and special effects aren’t the greatest, but the storylines draw you in. You might find yourself watching the four seasons available on Netflix in just a couple days. Luckily newest season is on Hulu, waiting for you to catch up. Available on Netflix, Hulu.
"Fixer Uppers."
There’s nothing like watching a cute couple fix up gross houses into beautiful country chic dreams. Chip and Joanna Gaines turn houses into homes that you wish you were living in. Plus Chip and Jojo are basically #relationshipgoals. Available on Netflix.
New Year’s resolutions can wait when you’ve got your bed and Netflix.
