You’ve finally reached the homestretch with just a few more classes standing between you and summer vacation. This also means that finals are upon you. You should most definitely be studying, but let’s be honest, will you? Would you rather be ankles deep in organic chemistry or snuggled up in your bed with the radiation from your computer keeping you warm? Here’s a list of TV shows to binge watch when you should be studying, but won’t.

1. "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend"

This show is, by far, one of my favorites. Just wrapping up it's first season, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" tells the story of Rebecca Bunch, a crazy ex-girlfriend, hence the title of the show. What's even more appealing about this show is that it's not only fun loving and humorous, it's told with musical numbers! Rachel Bloom (Rebecca) never fails to make the show enjoyable, while keeping it very real, with relatable humor about UTIs, crushes, and all the other struggles we face every day.

Perfect for someone looking for a relatable but not-too-serious comedy. Watch on Hulu or CW.com

2. "Young and Hungry"

Everyone knows Emily Osment as Lily Truscott, Hannah Montana's lovable best friend, but in this ABC Family original, Osment plays a chef named Gabby. Gabby, who ends up getting her dream job working as a personal chef for a 30-something tech god, finds herself trying to get out of her own humorous messes alongside her sassy coworkers Yolanda, a house cleaner, and Elliot, a sassy publicist.

Perfect for anyone looking for a heartwarming love story and laughter. Watch seasons 1-3 on Netflix.

3. "Awkward"

"Awkward" is another one of my personal favorites. The show revolves around Jenna Hamilton, a Palos Verdes, California, teenager struggling with high school, boys, family life, a blog, as well as her own identity. It's currently wrapping up its fifth and final season, but that doesn't mean you can't catch the earlier episodes.

Perfect for anyone looking for a high school dramedy chock full of love triangles. Watch seasons 1-5 on Hulu.

4. "Documentary Now!"

Fred Armisen and Bill Hader team up to create this hilarious show that parodies the current rise in documentary films. Each episode takes on a different style of documentary with different characters and plot, but keeps the same satirical humor.

Perfect for anyone who loves "Portlandia" or "SNL." Watch season 1 on Netflix.

5. "iZombie"

Liv Moore, is overachieving med student who turns into a zombie after going to a boat party. To survive, she finds a job at the morgue and eats the brains of murder victims. Soon after consuming brains she realizes that her personality traits change according to the victim.

Perfect for anyone who likes television about fighting crime and/or zombies. Watch season 1 on Netflix and season 2 on Hulu.

6. "Girls"

Lena Dunham's creation revolves around the lives of four women living in New York City. It draws aspects from Dunham's own life while adding fictitious elements as well. It is a dramatic comedy that pushed boundaries and represents very realistic adult life in New York.

Perfect for anyone who likes dark comedies, New York City, and drama. Watch all five seasons on HBO GO or HBO NOW.

7. "Modern Family"

This Emmy award winning show will do nothing but make you laugh as you're trying to study. It is set up like a documentary about a family living in southern Los Angeles and shares the story of this "modern family." It has an ensemble based storyline and every character is extremely hilarious.

Perfect for anyone who loves mockumentaries, comedy, and heartwarming television. Watch every season on Hulu.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
