Despite what many people who don't live in New Jersey may think, NJ is filled with beautiful landscape and destinations that you don't want to miss out on seeing.

1. Barnegat Lighthouse, Barnegat New Jersey

Barnegat Lighthouse is located on the northern point of Long Beach Island, a popular beach destination in the summer for New Jersey residents. For only $3, you can climb all 217 steps for a breathtaking view (and a good workout)!

2. Duke Farms, Hillsborough New Jersey

Duke farms is the perfect place to relax, while also getting some Insta-worthy pictures! From fields of sunflowers to rushing waterfalls, there is something for everyone here.

3. Buttermilk Falls, Layton New Jersey

This one is for the more adventurous because of the steep climb to get to the top, or for the hiking lovers, a 5 mile hike. There are a number of ways to get to the waterfall depending on how adventurous you choose to be!

4. The Red Mill, Clinton New Jersey

The Red Mill is perfect for anyone that is interested in photography, because this scenic destination is one of the most photographed places in the United States!

5. Grounds For Sculpture, Hamilton New Jersey

Grounds for Sculpture is filled with interesting yet bizarre sculptures that are spread throughout the 42-acre park, both outside and inside of a museum.

6. The Palisades Cliffs, Bergen County New Jersey

Located in Alpine, these cliffs give you the perfect view of the New Jersey/New York state line.

7. The Shore

If you aren't into anything from hiking to art, Jersey always has its beaches to offer. New Jersey is known for its beaches, and while some have more of a party atmosphere, there are plenty that could not be more serene, for example, Longport, Avalon, and Lavallette.
