1. Make peace with your past
.
Your past does not define your future, your actions and beliefs do. You can't sit on what happened yesterday, two weeks ago, a month ago or even a year ago. Keeping those thoughts on your mind will drive you insane. Find closure and let go of your past. Whether this be relationships, friendships or something you've said that has been weighing on your mind. Clearing it from your conscious will make a world of a difference.

2. What others think of you is none of your business.
OH MY GOD! How many times have there been moments when you know someone across the room doesn't like you, but you don't know why, or there's someone who is saying or thinking awful things about you that you know aren't true? You just want to set that person straight! But they don't matter. Their thoughts don't tell you who you are; ONLY YOU CAN TELL YOURSELF WHO YOU ARE! Yes, words can hurt; I didn't go through life without a few words thrown my way. But think about it, if you know they aren't true and you are doing what you need to get by in your life what does their opinion matter? Notice the key word there... YOU! The words they bounce off of you are a reflection of themselves that they aren't ready to face.

3. Time heals almost everything.
While time doesn't make everything go away, it makes it easier to live with. You are given time and space between whatever you need to heal-breakups, family loss, friendships falling apart, anything. You gain a distance from the situation and are given time to work on yourself.

4. No one is the reason for your own happiness, except you!
This like life rule 101, no one should be the reason for your happiness or sadness except for you! If it's a person, forgive or be free of them. A relationship, you choose either to stay or leave. A job you choose to stay in the moment you're not happy or find something you enjoy. Your body image, you can make the excuses or you can change. You have the choice to either change how a situation is or move on from it.

5. Don’t compare your life with others, you don't know their journey.
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we would grab ours back as fast as we could. You don't know what the person sitting next to you has had to do, what they have to do or what they need to work on when they get home. Everyone has a different journey, so instead of comparing, why not listen and understand?

6. Stop thinking too much; it's okay to not know the answers.
Sometimes there is no answer, not going to be any answer, never has been an answer. That’s the answer! Don't think so hard. Let life come as it may.

7. Smile; you don't own all the problems in the world.
A smile can brighten the darkest day and make life more beautiful. It is a potential curve to turn a life around and set everything straight. Sometimes your smile could be just the thing to save someone's life; it could be the saving grace that person walking through the halls needed. So smile; it's contagious!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
