1.) Starbucks

By joining Starbucks rewards program you will get a 100% free drink or food item of your choice for your birthday. In addition, every purchase at Starbucks using your rewards card can earn Stars, that can later be redeemed for more free drinks or food! Not to mention, certain levels of the reward members can use their card to get free refills on brewed coffee or tea while in the store.

2.) Subway

When you use your subway rewards card, each purchase you make earns you points, these points can them be redeemed for items like cookies, chips, or even subs! Reward members will also get weekly deals and coupons. Also, on your birthday, Subway adds 20 points on your card that you can use for a free drink, chips, or two cookies.

3.) Bob Evans

Bob Evans, when you sign up for their rewards card, will give you a complementary dessert on your birthday, no purchase necessary. In some locations, you can also use your card to save money on future purchases, getting rewards money after spending x amount of money. (Varies by location)

It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
