It’s official everyone! AMC’s "The Walking Dead" is back! Before it’s season seven premiere, America’s number one television program was already renewed for an eighth season. Getting approved for another season before your upcoming season even goes on the air is something only "The Walking Dead" could get away with. But how and why is this show so popular?

In honor of the season seven premiere, here are 7 reason why we’re addicted to "The Walking Dead".

1.The Suspense

TWD is The King of Cliffhangers.

So, this is an obvious one. It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to find out who Negan’s victim was. Fans were stressing out, reading other fan theories, and re-watching the season six finale to try and find out which character was killed off. Die hard fans have been watching the prequel spin-off, "Fear The Walking Dead" to hold them, but the wait was still somewhat unbearable. However, trailers and sneak peeks from Comic-Con have kept us excited and anxious as we counted down each day until the season seven premiere.

2.The Villains

Nowhere is safe.

The world of The Walking Dead might seem like fiction, but it’s as real as it gets. Real life is full of uncertainty, and we get a lot of that in this series. Just when it seems like our group is safe and sound, something goes wrong. We’ve had a revolving door of villains including: Shane, The Governor, Gareth from Terminus, Dawn from the hospital, The Wolves, and now, Negan. The real world isn’t a secure as we’d like it to be, nor is it full of people who just want hugs. Shouldn’t it be even more dangerous during a zombie apocalypse? Every fan has their theory from week to week, but TWD keeps us on our toes.

3.The Humor

Thanks Abraham.

It’s not all flesh eating and walker slaying. There is comic relief every now and then. For the past few seasons, we can give most of the credit to our favorite potty-mouth ginger, Abraham. Out of all the characters on the show, he has uttered some of the most bizarre yet hilarious lines. The most popular being, “Mother Dick”, but there are others such as: “I don’t give a monkey’s left nut.”, “Loose ends make my ass itch.”, and “When you were pouring the Bisquick, were you trying to make pancakes?”. The man has a way with words, that’s for sure.

4.The Talking Dead

We love you Chris Hardwick!

Let’s be honest everyone. Some episodes of “The Walking Dead” can be a little heavy. They send us on emotional roller coasters once in a while. After each episode, it’s both comforting and refreshing to debrief and get some therapy from “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick. Not only does he find a way to make us laugh at things we might not have during the actual show, but he is a true TWD fan as well. He watches the show and he has read the comics, so he knows the characters inside and out and he occasionally geeks-out with the rest of us when trying to guess what will happen on the next episode. We all need to have our weekly therapy session with him, or else we might go insane from all the feels we can’t get rid of.

5.The Characters

Cross your fingers in hopes that your favs don't die.

#IfDarylDiesWeRiot! The characters are cherished by “The Walking Dead” fans. When some of us thought that Glenn was dead, others wouldn’t expect it. The theories started to appear left and right. #GlennsNotDead became a reoccurring hashtag on all social media sites. People created slow-motion versions of the death scene in order to show how he couldn’t possibly be dead. Some even pointed out the fact that Glenn was not included in the “Talking Dead” memoriam. When it comes to the characters, the fans are very protective. Let’s thank the actors for bringing them to life and allowing us care for them so deeply.

6.The Shipping

Rick + Michonne #Richonne

Fans love to ship TWD characters together. There’s tons of fan fiction and Tumblr accounts dedicated to shipping certain characters, the newest couple being Rick and Michonne. But before Richonne, fans were shipping Daryl and Michonne or Dichonne (too bad Rick beat Daryl to the punch), and we can’t forget the lovely married couple, Glenn and Maggie or Gleggie. Some people find it strange and believe a few of the pairings are unrealistic, but that doesn't stop the ships from sailing. Who said it was wrong to support a little apocalypse and chill?

7.The Walkers

You can't have TWD without The Walkers!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
