7 Reasons Why I Relate To Corgis
The Daily Corgi

We all have that one animal that we are a tad obsessed with, whether it be elephants, pugs or sloths. I would say my true spirit animal would have to be a corgi.

This new love for this little dog all began about a year ago as I began to see more and more of these funny, furry four-legged pups all around, plus we have a lot in common.

1. Running is hard... for the both of us.

We all know that corgis have the tiniest legs in the world. This makes it incredibly hard for them to run super fast (although it is possibly the cutest, funniest thing to watch). I, like the corgi, try to avoid running at all costs. Walking is always a good option instead.

2. Afternoon naps are a must.

A day without a nap is a sad day indeed. The life of a corgi gets pretty rough, so sleeping is always on their daily agenda. Likewise, my cure all for a stressful school day is a good old two-hour snooze.

3. They look like a loaf of bread. I love bread.

Bread is a vital food group and the Corgi definitely agrees. You need corgi's in your life as much as you need a good piece of toast! They are always there for you.

4. They always want to make others happy.

Feeling a little down? Don't you worry, a corgi is always there with open arms for a hug. They never want to let down their owner or their fellow doggy friends. I can relate as I am the biggest people pleaser. Friends happy = corgi and me happy!

5. They love a good day adventure.

Did someone say adventure? Traveling and exploring new places is always on a corgi's agenda. They make good travel buddies and love to see beautiful outdoor spots. You can find me and my future corgi admiring all the breathtaking scenic spots in the next few years (fingers crossed).

6. They make for great listeners.

Having some pretty big ears makes corgis really good listeners. Want to vent your day to them? They won't mind. A corgi and I may not always have the greatest advice, but we are always there for our friends with open ears and hearts.

7. Always down for a movie/Netflix night.

Going out every night gets to be too much and the Corgi totally understands. I like the corgi am always down for a relaxing night involving a good rom com and a fuzzy blanket.

Here's to having a life like the best dog around. Also, a big shout out to all the corgis of Instagram that I follow. Y'all have helped my love of these cute puppies grow even more!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
