It is so cliche, but it is so true- your sister is the best friend you will ever have.

A sister is good for many things- an extra closet of clothes, a free ride and some quality advice- but mostly, a sister is good for being the best friend you will ever have. Sure, you fight and argue, but there are so many reasons having a sister is the best thing that will ever happen to you, and here are 10 of them:

1. Brand new clothes without spending any money

There is no better feeling than when you see an adorable and unfamiliar top with the tags still on it in your sister's closet, and knowing she will be sweet enough to let you borrow it.

2. A free ride and tag-along to anywhere you don't feel like going alone

Don't want to go to the mall solo? Don't want to walk into Cookout and face the late-night craziness alone? Don't worry- that's why we have sisters.

3. She's the one person who will always agree to spontaneous road trips and adventures with you

"Hey, you wanna go on a spontaneous road trip to somewhere new?" You know she would never say no to that!

4. Someone who listens to your family issues and totally understands what you're going through

Your other friends just don't understand how crazy Aunt Barb can be.

5. The mind reading

All it takes is one look across the table to know that she is silently telling you what a hunk the waiter is.

6. The totally honest and heartfelt advice

Whether you need a reality check or advice about relationships, you know that she is always going to be 100 percent real with you, and that you should listen to her.

7. A loyal and amazing best friend that you get to live the rest of your life with

A forever movie date, dance partner, and soul mate? That sounds like the best, best friend ever.

That's what having a sister is all about. No matter what happens to the friends and relationships that will come and go throughout life, it's comforting to know you will always have one true and loving best friend. This is why having a sister is without a doubt the best thing that has ever happened to you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
