Yes, I am one of those people who skip straight to Christmas on November 1. Christmas is my favorite holiday, but sadly it is socially unacceptable to start celebrating until after Thanksgiving.

Here are some reasons why Christmas is better than Thanksgiving.

1. The Food

I'm sorry but turkey is the worst kind of meat. Mashed potatoes? I want some french fries or tater tots instead. Don't even get me started on cranberry sauce. Honestly, the best Thanksgiving food are the rolls. Christmas food for my family means seafood, duck, and lots of candy... Yum.

2. Music

There's no such thing as Thanksgiving music... Let me know when your local station plays Thanksgiving music a month before the actual holiday.

3. Gifts

Who gives each other Thanksgiving presents?

4. Break

I get almost a month off for Christmas and only a half week for Thanksgiving...

5. Decorations

I absolutely love decorating for Christmas. The lights are so pretty outside and Christmas trees are just so beautiful to look at.

6. No homework!

Christmas break means the end of the semester so I don't have to worry about doing any homework.

7. Moods

Everyone is genuinely in a better mood around Christmastime.
