Cat-people and dog-people are constantly fighting over who's furry friend is superior. Move over dog-people because this cat lady is about to reveal the truth with 7 reasons why cats are the best pet.
1. A Fuzzy Alarm Clock
You were up late studying and fell asleep using your text book as a pillow again. You were so busy studying that you forgot to set an alarm for your 9:15. Don't worry! Your fuzzy feline remembered that you get up, feed him, then leave to let him eat in peace. He is feeling pretty hungry and there is no food left in his dish, every morsel is gone (except for all the pieces pushed against the side of the bowl, but those aren't important). He would get the food himself, but since he can't he will gently caress your face with his paw until you fill his food bowl and do whatever else humans do after that.
2. Way Better Than A Stuffed Animal
Are you in need of a Netflix cuddle partner? Forget the stuffed teddy bear or your significant other and get yourself a cat. Unlike a stuffed animal, cats are warm and (sometimes) cuddle you back. Just don't count on being able to see the screen half the time. Hey, at least you can still hear it!
3. Never Worry About Open Drawers Or Cupboards
This morning you had to quickly grab your notebook out of your desk before making a mad dash for class and you left your drawer open. Your cat is worried that someone may see that you left it open and steal all of your things. He will sit in it and protect all of your things until you return (and after that, just to be safe).
4. No Longer Fear Bathroom Monsters
Cats are aware that bathroom monsters exist. They also know that they are the only thing that bathroom monsters are afraid of. They NEED to protect you from the bathroom monsters. I mean, who else will feel them once you are gobbled up.
5. Leftovers? No Problem!
The space in the fridge is limited. Your cat knows that, he's been in there. Instead of letting good food go to waste, your kitty will be there to save the day.
6. Bring You Presents
Your cat cares about you, but has no way (or money) to express it. He really likes mice and insects so he figures so will you! It's the thought that counts.
7. Rewards for Pets
After a long day of work or school, your cat knows exactly what you (and he) needs. A good old petting session. You pet him and he purrs for you. The pets make your cat happy and love you even more. The purrs rejuvenate your soul and spirit. It's a win-win situation.
