7 Reasons We Need More Hank Hill's In The World

King of the Hill's Hank Hill is an average working American who loves his work, family, and career. A man who loves football, and beer almost as much as he loves grilling, and mowing the lawn.

Hank Hill from Mike Judge's "King Of the Hill" has to be one of the most interesting cartoon characters seen on television. Unlike most family centered cartoons geared towards adults, "King Of the Hill" does not portray it's patriarch as a bumbling idiot, Hank Hill was not complete moron. Hank Hill was a man's man who taught me very valuable lessons about life.

Hank Hill taught me the joy of keeping your lawn in mint condition. He taught me a nice cool beer outside with your buddies is better than any bar. Most importantly, he taught me how grilling with propane allows for a perfect combination of convenience and control that charcoal grilling will never have.

We could use more honest, hardworking, propane salesman in the world. People who understand the importance of hard work, patriotism, and a firm handshake. I could go on for hours on why we need more Hank Hills in the world, but it all boils down to seven different reasons.

1. Hank Hill enjoys the simple things in life

2. Hank Hill knows how to grill properly

3. Hank Hill never leads a girl on

4. Hank Hill understand the importance of football

5. Hank Hill takes his career very seriously

6. Hank Hill's pranks are still kindhearted

7. Hank Hill respects his propane

Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.
